Dayton head coach Anthony Grant can’t believe the Flyers didn’t get the jump ball during a scramble late in the second half of their game against Nevada in the west regional of the NCAA Basketball Championship, Delta Center, Salt Lake City, Utah, March 21, 2024.

SALT LAKE CITY — Arizona's second-round NCAA Tournament game with Dayton has been set for 9:45 a.m. (10:45 a.m. in Salt Lake City) on Saturday at the Delta Center.

The game will be carried on CBS and will be the first NCAA Tournament game played on Saturday.

The No. 7 seed in the West region, Dayton (25-9) advanced to the second round game with a comeback 63-60 win over Nevada on Thursday afternoon. Second-seeded Arizona (26-8) beat 15th-seeded Long Beach State 85-65 earlier Thursday.

Not too long after the UA men's game ends Saturday, the Arizona women's team will tipoff in its official first round game after the Wildcats won a First Four matchup Thursday night in Storrs, Connecticut. The Wildcats defeated Auburn, 69-59 and, as an 11 seed, will face sixth seeded Syracuse at 12:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. in Connecticut). The game will be carried by ESPN2.
