SaddleBrooke Winds and Strings Band (SBWS) will be performing its spring concert from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the DesertView Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, April 24.

SaddleBrooke Winds and Strings is comprised of amateur and professional musicians from SaddleBrooke and surrounding areas. SBWS was founded by SaddleBrooke residents in 2013. As the group expanded, rehearsals moved from resident’s homes to MountainView Ballroom. Over the years, performances have been held at MountainView Ballroom, Catalina State Park and various retirement communities in the northwest Tucson region.

We are now under the baton of Jesus Jacquez, an accomplished conductor, who graduated in music education from the University of Arizona, has eight years of experience teaching band, orchestra and chorus in the public schools and plays clarinet in the Arizona Symphonic Winds, Sonora Winds, and the Tucson Concert Band. He serves in Educational Services at Instrumental Music Center and has plans to pursue graduate studies in conducting at the University of Arizona.

In December 2023, our first concert under Jesus was a phenomenal success! Don’t miss out on this opportunity to hear a brand-new program by this talented group of musicians.
