Alan Doan celebrates another hole-in-one!

The sixth hole on the Preserve has given up another hole-in-one to an unsuspecting golfer. This time, Alan Doan came through with a magnificent seven iron shot from 135 to 140-yards away. This wasn’t actually a fluke since Doan has aced this hole once before. The witnesses were partner Alan Mansker and opponents Larry Wykoff and San Vriens. Aces on the sixth hole are seemingly becoming a dime a dozen, so I’m considering a proposal to close all the forward tees and forcing everyone to play from the black tees. That should separate the wheat from the chaff and stop this insane embarrassment of riches on the sixth hole.

Seriously, we celebrate all holes-in-one during a tournament round with a substantial cash prize! You must be a member of the MountainView/Preserve Men’s Golf Association in order to win the prize, and in the unlikely event that you never ace the sixth or any other hole, you’ll still have a great time playing with a great group of guys every Thursday.
