Tucson weather

A weather system that moved into the Tucson area this weekend could bring thunderstorms and even hail Monday, forecasters say.

On-and-off rain showers in the metro Tucson area and snow in the mountains is expected to continue today, the National Weather Service says.

There's even a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms and small hail in some areas, the forecast says.

About three to seven inches of snow and thunderstorms are expected in mountain areas above 7,000 feet. That includes Mount Lemmon, the weather service said.
