Anthony Seth Burroughs

A Tucson murder suspect who has been on the run for 16 years was added to the U.S. Marshals 15 Most Wanted list on Wednesday, authorities said.

Anthony Seth Burroughs, 37, is accused of shooting and killing Juan Ruben Rodriguez during a Tucson house party on April 30, 2000, Deputy U. S. Marshal Nathan Warner said in a news release.

The Marshals Service also offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to Burroughs's arrest.

Tucson police believe Burroughs left the country within a day of the crime, and the investigation led authorities to the Philippines, where he was born and has ties to family, Warner said.

Despite the fact that 16 years has passed, the Marshals believe Burroughs will be apprehended with the public's help, Warner said.

Burroughs is of Filipino descent with brown eyes and black hair. At the time of the alleged murder, he was 21-years-old, stood 5'8" tall and weighed 200 pounds.

He has several tattoos, including the name 'Adriana' on his chest, 'Burroughs' on his back, 'Hate' on his left arm and 'Love' on his right arm, Warner said.

U.S. Marshals believe he could be working as a tattoo artist, but Burroughs is also interested in cars.

Because of the nature of the crime, Burroughs is believed to pose a significant threat to the public, and anyone with information is asked to contact the U.S. Marshals Service communications center at 1-800-338-0102 or email usms.wanted@usdoj.gov.
