His presentation will explore a multi-faceted approach to aging. He will emphasize preventive strategies and lifestyle modifications. He will also discuss how to navigate the aging process with dignity and strength with practical tips on maintaining independence. Dr. Taggarse will also highlight the role of health care providers and the latest advancements in geriatric care.

Dr. Taggarse is located in Oro Valley and is dedicated to the comprehensive care of adult populations. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Maryland General Hospital. He has served as Medical Director of Hospitalists during the critical COVID-19 surge and is keenly aware of the need to coordinate hospice care, home-based primary care and to improve patient outcomes in all settings at all levels.

Drawing from his extensive experience in geriatric medicine, Dr. Taggarse will discuss the importance of a holistic approach to health that includes physical activity, nutrition, mental health and social engagement. He will also emphasize a supportive environment that includes the role of healthcare providers and the latest advancements in geriatric care in daily life.
