Resurrection Lutheran men’s breakfast recently featured Dave Meslow, National Football League official on Saturday, March 2. Jim Seppala opened the breakfast meeting. Ken Shepard blessed the food with an opening prayer, and the attendees recited the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
Bob Asbell introduced Dave Meslow, who spoke to 80 attendees, on his career as an NFL official.
Football ResumeStarted officiating football in 1981 and worked in three different states: Minnesota, Texas and Florida.
Officiated in four different college conferences: Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Association, North Central Conference, Big South Conference and the ACC Conference.
While in the ACC conference officiated the: ACC Championship, Silicon Valley Bowl, Petrol Sun Bowl, Compass Bowl and Independence Bowl and Fiesta Bowl.
Officiated in the Arena League, Canadian Football League and NFL Europe.
Hired by the NFL in 2010 and just completed 13 seasons. Has officiated in numerous playoff games.
Dave is married to his wife, Lori, and has two daughters, Dana, 31, and husband, Al, along with girls. Kara is 29 years old. In December 2022, he retired after 39 years with 3M. Currently, Dave lives in Minnesota and has a second home in Arizona.
The Resurrection Lutheran Church Men’s Breakfast takes place on the first Saturday of each month from October through May, each year. Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. (church doors open at 7 a.m.) sign up on the RLC website (orovalley.org) or call the church at (520) 575-9901. Resurrection Church at SaddleBrooke holds its all denominational Sunday Worship Services at 9 a.m. in the HOA-2 MountainView Ballroom. All are welcome.
