The Community Church of SaddleBrooke is coming alongside Kartz Fore Kidz, a local SaddleBrooke organization, to help Tucson’s Young Life Capernaum send kids with disabilities and special needs to summer camp.

Cheryl Fay, the Church Missions Coordinator for Young Life Capernaum explained, “The “Kartz Fore Kidz” golf cart program, buys and accepts donated or partially donated used golf carts. Kartz Fore Kidz then refurbishes and sells these carts to residents at a discounted value. All profits are used for summer camp scholarships. Over the last two years, the program has donated over $23,000.”

Holly Goode, Director of Tucson Young Life Capernaum, states, “Kartz Fore Kids has been an incredible blessing to our organization. Many of our students come from impoverished homes and have no resources to pay for a summer camp trip. Because of this wonderful program, we are able to offer scholarships to more and more kids each year to experience the best week of their lives at Lost Canyon Camp.”

When purchasing a golf cart, buyers may write a check for a portion of the purchase price to Young Life Capernaum, which is an Arizona charitable organization. Folks that donate a cart receive a donation receipt from The Community Church as a possible deduction on taxes.

Betty Jo Dibble, a SaddleBrooke resident, had this to say about purchasing a used golf cart from Kartz Fore Kidz, “I am grateful to have moved to a community where people are generous with their time and experience! I was fortunate to find Karts for Kidz while looking for a golf cart of my own. I’m thrilled to have been able to be part of such a wonderful cause!”

Kartz Fore Kidz also represents and sells the new lithium powered Evolution Golf Carts offered through the Battery Guy Tucson (tbgtucson.com). Owner, Gayle Sebastian, contributes a portion of these sales directly to Young Life Capernaum.

Purchasing, donating or partially donating a used cart is a great way for SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch residents to give back to the Tucson area community.
