Save the date for speaker Lou McLean to discuss “Tidbits to Assist You”, and will include helpful websites and where to find resources for your family research at 1 p.m. in the HOA-1 Coyote Room on Thursday, April 4.

Lou McLean is the current president of the West Valley Genealogical Society located in Youngstown (Sun City) Arizona. Starting in 1972, it has grown to over 700 members. It offers the largest genealogy library in Arizona. Family history researchers can find state, county and local history information for Arizona, the United States and many other countries.

In the summer, the SaddleBrooke Genealogy Club focuses on workshops to refine research skills. If you want some small groups and/or one-on-one time with other club members these are good meetings to attend. The meeting on Thursday, May 2, is being planned as a luncheon rather than a meeting. Watch the website for further details of time and venue. June, July, August and September will be workshops held on the first Thursday of the month. As always, guests are encouraged to attend and are welcome to become members. October is a scheduled trip to the West Valley Genealogical Library in Youngstown, Arizona. November will begin the speaker format again and the first scheduled speaker is Bridget Lefevre who will provide clues to Scandinavian research.
