The women of Women On Our Own (WOOO) met for our semi-annual Membership Meeting and Potluck at the HOA-1 Activity Center on Monday, April 8. Over 60 WOOO women attended, as well as several new members. And oh, my, the FOOD!! Each inch of three buffet tables were filled with appetizers, salads and sides, main dishes and desserts. The WOOO women know how to create a most festive evening!
Recognizing the many long-standing and new activities of WOOO was wonderful to celebrate! Games: Bridge, game night, Mexican Train, trivia, progressive hand and food, canasta, Mah Jongg, third Wednesday dine-around, fourth Saturday potluck, ethnic dining, holiday dinners, wine tasing, first Saturday Happy Hour, second Saturday dine-around, movie night and dinner, day trips, book club, beginning pickleball and WOOO walkers. Women are encouraged to create other activities that intrigue them. With over 150 members, there is something for everyone!
Socializing, laughing and catching up with friends were the sights and sounds that filled the room throughout the event. Coming together on this night had a dual purpose. The new interim Board that will guide WOOO for the next 12 months was announced. In April 2025, a new Board will be elected for a two-year term.
