Sixty-one SaddleBrooke Men's Golf Association members relishing the Javelina Cup trophy.

Sixty-One members of the SaddleBrooke Men's Golf Association (SMGA) for the first time since 2012 the SMGA won the Javelina Cup competing against the Mountainview-Preserve Men's Golf Association (MPMGA).

Day one was played on our SaddleBrooke and Tucson courses. The Golf Gods provided us with outstanding weather and MoutainView/Preserve Men’s Gold Association (MPMGA) provided tough competition. A 9-hole scramble and 9-hole shamble ended with the SMGA ahead by 23 points.

Day two was played at the Preserve. We got a large dose of cold, wet, icy weather. Trying to figure out the coefficient of friction over the ice pellets was the last straw before play was called.

Most teams played from four to seven holes before play was called. After the final tally, The SMGA was victorious by three points.
