Arizona guard Caleb Love celebrates with McKale Center on Senior Day in March. Love is one of 44 players invited to the G League Elite Camp next weekend.

Guard Caleb Love and Arizona’s three other NBA-Draft-testing players did not receive invitations to the NBA Combine later this month, potentially increasing the chance they will return to Arizona next season.

Former Wildcat players Keshad Johnson and Pelle Larsson were among the 78 players invited to the May 12-19 Combine, but guards Love, KJ Lewis and Jaden Bradley were not — and neither was transfer forward Trey Townsend.

Love, Lewis, Bradley and Townsend have all applied for the draft but kept open the option to return to college next season.

However, players not invited to the combine can still work out for individual teams or in other group settings while receiving feedback. Additional draft prospects will also be invited to the May 10-11 G League Elite camp, and the NBA said “a select number of standout players” from that event would be invited to the combine.

There are 78 NBA Combine invites but only 60 spots in the NBA Draft. Players have until May 29 to withdraw if they wish to return to college under NCAA rules.
