Whether it’s sunny skies or cloudy skies, you can always count on the friendly faces of the MountainView Lady Putters to brighten up any Monday morning. Over 80 members and their guests have shown up for the first two weeks of the organization’s “new” year, which began in February.

It’s been said that half of golf is fun; the other half is putting. But if you ask the ladies who have been on the MountainView putting green this month, we will tell you putting with these friendly ladies is 100 percent fun. Of course, there are the occasional challenges which keep all of us on our toes.

The organization’s annual meeting was held on Wednesday, January 22, which included new member orientation, committee sign-up opportunities, and the introduction of the 2025 board members. A thank-you tribute and gift were given to outgoing president, Jean Kraus.

On Saturday, February 8, the organization was represented at the Saddlebrooke activity fair where information for potential members was provided. New members are welcome any time. No golf or putting experience needed. All you need is a putter, a ball, and a desire to have a good time. If interested in joining, more information is available on the organization’s website, mvlputters.com.

The Founders Day luncheon is held annually in February to celebrate the 27-year history of the organization and to honor past presidents. The program this year features women who have been important to Arizona history, including Sandra Day O’Connor and Linda Ronstadt.

On Monday, March 17, the MountainView Putters will join the Verde Sputters of HOA-1 at their home putting green.
