Recently, my friend, Brenda, and I were in the back seat of a Tesla which belonged to our friends Gary and Diane. On our way home from an opera presentation at the University of Arizona, we stopped for ice cream and headed home about 10:15 p.m. As we got to Golder Ranch Road, Gary made a right turn. Brenda quickly said, “Gary it is after 10, we cannot go in the back way.” We were both stunned by his reply, “Just watch.” As we approached the CLOSED gate, he slowed and down and like magic the Lago del Oro gate began to open. We were both very surprised by his explanation that he had a gate sensor on his passenger side head light. I immediately said, “How come I have lived in SaddleBrooke over 30 years and never heard of such a thing?”
Over that weekend, I asked many of my HOA-1 friends (most have also lived here a long time) if they knew about the gate sensor. I must have asked over 25 people and only one person replied affirmatively! Monday morning I was in the HOA office to purchase a gate sensor (for $20) and to ask Vivian how come I never hears about this. She informed me it has only been operational for four years and it was publicized when first installed. But since I have encountered so many others who never knew about this wonderful addition to any vehicle, she assured me it will be publicized again. Did you know about the gate sensor?
