Monday, December 11, 2023, was another spectacular evening for SaddleBrooke’s Jewish Friendship Group. Over 90 members and guests celebrated the annual holiday of Hanukah at the HOA-1 Clubhouse.

The evening began with the traditional lighting of the Hanukah candles and prayers led by Sandy and Seth Basker, followed by Hatikvah, the Israeli National Anthem, sung by Steve Rosen.

The ceremonies were followed by a delicious dinner of brisket, salmon, asparagus and of course, potato latkes. Dessert was a yummy, warm apple crisp topped with fresh whipped cream.

The most inspiring part of the evening was the Jewish Friendship Group’s annual mitzvah project. Each guest brought a new children’s toy, money or gift cards, which were donated to the children and families in need at the Tucson Medical Center. These wonderful gifts were delivered to the hospital with hugs and tears of joy.
