We are the SaddleBrooke Wood Workers Club and are looking to help our community. Our club was formed about two years ago with a focus on two major goals: First and foremost is to provide wood-working repairs and build wood projects for our friends and neighbors in SaddleBrooke. Over the past couple of years, we have refurbished the large Nut Crackers that you see at HOA-1 at Christmas time. We also built new storage boxes to keep the dolls in like-new condition. It was a major project with outstanding results.
We have also repaired chairs, tables, display cases, cabinets, pieces of wooden art and many other smaller wooden projects. Most are done by our members at little or no cost. It has been a tremendous community service that has been appreciated by all that have seen the finished projects.
Our second major focus is working to have a community wood-working shop built. It will benefit our club members as well as attract new residents that are looking to have a wood shop to use for their many projects. We are actively working to have a shop built and hope to have one built soon.
If you are interested in wood working and would like to join our club, please join us at 2 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in the Saguaro Roon at the MountainView Community Center.
For more information or wood working projects to build or repair, we are available on email at sb.wood,workers@gmail.com. We hope to see you at our next meeting!!
