The 2025 Executive Board is organized and ready to tee off into the New Year! LeAnn Ellingson and the entire board (Karla Kincaid, Carolyn Ford, Mary Jo Swartzberg, Terri Tindal, Regina Pang and Char Crossman) have hit the ground running to ensure things run smoothly in 2025. A huge thank you to our past officers and committees. Many members help on a daily and weekly basis, but without a title. Thank you!
There are so many thank you(s) we need to say and recognize those who do so much in support of our League.
Our sponsors: Desert Life Pharmacy, RidgeView Physical Therapy, The Moore Advantage, Coyote Golf Cars, Golf Cars of Arizona, KellerWilliams Southern Arizona and Morris Hall PLLC, thank you!
Our Pro and Assistant Pro: How you do what you do… WOW and thanks to Jane Chanik, Molly Fullerton, the Pro Shop crew… you are always supportive and helpful.
We have the most beautiful course in Southern Arizona. A huge kudo to Mike Roddy and Mike Phillips and their great team who work so hard to ensure beautiful course conditions.
The golf and holiday luncheon on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, was well attended. It was a great time for all as we recognized the “village” of members who continue to support our League and welcomed the 2025 Executive Board. Several awards and trophies were awarded. Congrats to all and to Susan Luci, 2024’s Most Improved Player!
Along with the festivities on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, representatives from the Golder Ranch Fire District (who promote Toys for Tots), accepted generous support from our members and League. What a great program this is! Children, registered with the fire department, have an opportunity to shop with a fireman—the child is allowed to choose toys and or clothing on their shopping trip.
January’s State Medallion is quickly approaching. Representing members of the League are Terri Tindal, Lori Ward, Pat Stead and Randi Tonnessen. The nine-hole competition will take place on Friday, January 10 at the Oakwood Golf Club, Sun Lakes, Arizona. Good luck, ladies, and have fun.
It’s important to know the rules of golf whether you play for fun or in competition. Have you brushed up on the rules of golf lately? Need clarification on a rule or want to use the rules of golf to your advantage? Then join us for the complimentary AGA Rules Training Seminar on Wednesday, January 22. This is a great opportunity for all golfers. Sign up is available in Golf Genius.
Are you thinking about joining a golf league? If you are interested, email Karla Kincaid, our Membership Chair, at kmkincaid@outlook.com. We are a fun and welcoming group of women who enjoy nine holes of golf!
