Sixty Sputters spilled out onto the course for some CRAZY PUTTING on Monday, February 3. The Events Team really went to town on creating fun and challenging holes—including wobbly balls, tennis rackets, blindfolds and long distances. What a day thanks to your energetic volunteers: Heather Griffin, Wendy Bellamy, Carol Gurewitz and Reba Johnson. Also helping on the green was your February setup crew: Marilyn Palatas, Sue Ryan and Janet Knowles. Laurie Miller and Shari Caboor did sign in.

The lowest scores of 41 went to Donna Bujnovsky and Hazel Roper. Donna Gruninger had an amazing four hole-in-ones. This was followed by Kathie Bigos, Jane Damschen, and Dawn Hecht with three hole-in-ones; LaVonne Ashwood, Laura Berkley, Donna Bujnovsky, Mary Ellen Clark, Pam Elvy, Heather Griffin, Deb Gryniewicz, Carol Gurewitz, Mickey Levich, Julie Long, Donna McPherson, Marilyn Palatas, Shauna Rand, Sandy Ripley, Hazel Roper, Sue Ryan, Vicki Wermager, and Lisa Woolmington—all had two hole-in-ones. And last—but not least—those with a single hole in one were Peg Achter, Helen Bellacqua, Wendy Bellamy, Carolyn Bewalda, Maggie DeBlock, Jan Deschamp, Jay Dunn, Celeste Forbes, Sue Golder, Ann Grover, Mary Halverson, Jan Haney, Janet Knowles, Julia Larson, Laurie Miller, Felice Moskowitz, Lana Steinert, Karen Taylor, Debbie VanBerkom and Linda Watkins. The money hole winners were Helen Bellacqua, Carolyn Bewalda, Donna Bujnovsky, Celeste Forbes, Julie Long and Hazel Roper.

After putting, 41 members attended the monthly luncheon. The tables were beautifully decorated with two roses on each table. The Pork Tenderloin followed by Turtle Pie was delicious. The Valentine luncheon and games were arranged by Lana Steinert and Vicki Wermager—with help from your new VPs Donna McPherson and Karen Simmons. Our compliments to the Chef and to the HOA-1 staff who so graciously served us as we came straggling in from the green. Deborah Gryniewicz won the Heads/Tails game. Her prize was a Bee Solar Light and a flowered plaque. According to Deborah, her name means “busy bee”. The next game was a roll of the dice for the most six’s. The person who rolled the most six’s at each table won the beautiful roses. Lucky me! I won at our table!

At the luncheon, we recognized the leadership of former Board president, Helen Bellacqua. Helen was very gracious in recognizing her fellow board members for all their support over the last 2.5 years.

Our February birthdays include Joni Campel, Maggie DeBlock, Sue Golder, Jeanne Moehn, Barb Rempel, Kathy Schulz and Georgianne Zigarowicz. Georgianne won the birthday free lunch certificate while Chris McFadden was the lucky winner for the monthly free lunch. Celebrating a birthday in March is Janet Knowles, Helen Bellacqua, Karen Simmons, Dianne Hoedel, Anne Rezich, Sandy Ripley and Hazel Roper.

Upcoming Events: We will host the putting tournament and luncheon with Mountain View Lady Putters on Monday, March 17; 36 members from each club can register to play/eat on a first-come-first serve basis.

As a reminder, due to Vistas scheduling conflicts, there will not be any April luncheon meeting.
