Shirley Morris.

After a dry, cold, frosty winter, spring is just around the corner and the SaddleBrooke Ladies’ Niners are busy teeing it up.

Congrats to Shirley Morris, 2025 Founders’ Cup winner! Shirley had a stellar round and placed low net over the playing field.

2025 brings many tournaments and play days for us to enjoy. March is an especially busy month with the following play dates set: 9ers Unite on Wednesday, March 5; Club Championship on Tuesday, March 11; and Across the Brooke on Tuesday, March 25. Qualification for State Medallion continues on Tuesday, March 4 and Tuesday, April 15.

Niners Unite is hosted this year by the Men’s Niner league. This is always a fun play day where the ladies and men have a chance to make new friends and meet neighbors on the course, coupled with a challenging nine-hole game. Plus, there is no cooking, as a buffet lunch follows the event!

The Club Championship is a multi-day competition. There is one winner, overall. This low gross winner will be the Club Champion. This competition will be a Stableford event, with flights determined by the Tournament Chair.

Across the Brooke is coming up. The year’s competition will be hosted by SaddleBrooke Lady Niners’ on Tuesday, March 25. We are looking forward to playing with our MountainView/Preserve Lady Niners.

Outside invitationals are scheduled with the first event happening at the Highlands Dove Mountain on Tuesday, March 11. The Views will host their invitational on Thursday, April 3, followed by SaddleBrooke Ranch on Tuesday, April 15. Check out the Niner bulletin board for additional information and deadlines, to sign up for these play days. Questions on invitationals should be directed via email to Pat Stead at pathstead@yahoo.com.

Are you thinking about joining a golf league? If you are interested, email Karla Kincaid, our Membership Chair, at kmkincaid@outlook.com. We are a fun and welcoming group of women who enjoy nine holes of golf.
