Doug Anderson retrieves his hole-in-one ball on #4 at the Preserve.

Hole #4 at the Preserve, a short par 3 from an elevated tee, always presents a tricky club selection. On Tueaday, August 23, Doug Anderson judged it perfectly. With a slight breeze in his face, Doug launched a 9-iron from the purple tees to a front pin position 130-yards-away.

Doug watched as the ball flew high and straight, took one bounce and hopped into the hole, giving him his first hole-in-one after 45-years of playing golf. The shot was witnessed by Doug’s playing partners, Bill Webster, Scott Brewbaker, and Dave Quesnell. Doug treated the three of them, plus three other foursomes, to beer on the patio to celebrate the occasion.

Congratulations, Doug. Hopefully, this first one will open the floodgates.
