Our SaddleBrooke Tennis Club hosted a Super Senior age tennis event on Friday, October 25. The event was for all those of the age 80 and over and then added a few more 77 and over players to even out the courts. It was amazing to see some of our outstanding super senior age players enjoy the sport of tennis and pop tennis. This event, which was inspired by one of our late tennis members, Jay Wilson, paid tribute to his ability to cover the tennis court and hit incredible shots while in his mid-80’s. Some might say today’s 80 age is yesterday’s 60. Thank you, Mike Oberski, for organizing this event. Jay’s wife, Marsha, was able to attend, and she was so very thankful and pleased that we remembered Jay and brought this event to our club. At the end of the event all the players and guest watching were treated to an ice cream social.
