Forty-eight SaddleBrooke Women’s Golf Association (SBWGA) women competed in the Solheim Tournament, an event that included a scramble, best ball two partner segments, and an alternate shot format, for more than two days in early December.

Divided into two teams, the Beer Team and the Wine Team, competition was fierce, culminating in a close finish with the Wine Team edging the Beer Team out by a few points. Captained by Sue Dischner (beer) and Wendy O’Dell (wine) with the assistance of our Head Pro, Jane Chanik and our Assistant Pro, Molly Fullerton, the teams were cheered on at the 18th tee with a beverage of their choice!

Now that most of the snowbirds have returned, our schedule is full, with the next event being a Beat the Pro and the President. At our end of the year luncheon, 2025 officers were inducted with our 2024 President, Cathe Kropf, handing the gavel off to Maire Ryan. Cathe did an outstanding job… big shoes to fill for Maire!
