The MountainView Lady Putters were able to bring back one of their favorite October non-regular putting events, following last year’s course renovation. Members of the Putters invite a spouse, partner, friend, neighbor, or bestie for fun, prizes and a secret money hole!! It was the perfect night to enjoy a round of putting on the MountainView Putting Green.
Sixty-six attendees were divided into groups of four and the competition and fun began. The evening was completed with a dinner of roasted pork Loin with Dijon cream sauce, whipped Yukon potatoes and chef's vegetable or roasted Mediterranean chicken herb - chicken breast topped with roasted tomatoes, red onion, kalamata olives, basil, shredded Parmesan, with wild rice pilaf, and chef's vegetable or a Vegetarian option, in the MountainView Ballroom, and the awarding of first and second place winning teams.
The tables were decorated with black tablecloths, gold napkins and a golf-themed centerpiece. Each attendee received a goody bag of candy and golf themed items. The cost included a dollar to put into the pot for a possible money hole winner. Who were the lucky winners? First place winners were the team of putter Loralee Horwedel, partner Larry McNamee, putter Ruth Sollin and partner Dan Sollin. Second place ended in a tie by the team of putter Pam Smith, partner Ron Smith, putter Fira Stout and partner Cherie Haydock and the team of putter Eileen (EJ) Snearly, partner Elizabeth Lukritz and putters Raye Cobb and Karel Titone. Money hole winners split the pot three ways between Joan Brookhart, Dale Norgard and Fira Stout. Looking forward to next year when this opportunity will happen again.
GO PUTTERS!!
